6/30/2013 A REFLECTION OF GOD’S GLORY
Acts 5:15….so
that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and
couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of
them.
Acts 5:12-16…… And through the
hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And
they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the
rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And
believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and
women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and
laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by
might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the
surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were
tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. Today’s message is
titled “A REFLECTION OF GOD’S GLORY” the
wish of God for everyone today is that we might be a reflection of His glory;
but God does not show Himself to anyone physically, but He shows Himself to us
in the spirit. John 4:24….. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must
worship in spirit and truth. If you worship God in spirit and truth, you will
see God. God is spirit, a reflection of glory; God wants us to be a reflection
of His glory; God wants people to know Him through us; God wants people to
testify to His awesomeness through us; God wants to work wondrous things in our
lives. God wants to do something new, great, spectacular, and something unusual.
God wants to do something to make people know that He is God. When Elijah
brought fire from heaven the people have no choice 1 Kings 18:24, 38-39….when
you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and
the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said,
“It is well spoken.” 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed
the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up
the water that was in the trench. 39 Now when all the people saw it,
they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is
God!”
At times you preach to people and
they may not agree with your preaching; but when they see the glory of the Lord
in your life, they will say to you “we want to serve your God.” May the glory
of the Lord rise upon you in the name of Jesus Christ…. When people see the
glory of God upon you, they have no choice than to serve your God. Many times,
when you talk to people about Jesus; they tell you that they do not believe in
Jesus; but when they see what Jesus has done in your life; when they see you as
a reflection of His glory; people will know that Jesus is truly the Lord. I want
to say to you today, that we have to become a reflection of God’s glory. You are
God’s representatives on earth; the bible made us understand that the shadow of
Peter was healing the sick. God anointed peter so much that his shadow not his
body, or cloth; but his shadow was healing the sick Why? Because he was a
reflection of God’s glory. Today you will carry His glory in Jesus mighty name….
we are supposed not to be satisfied until we have the glory of God; it is one
thing to be saved, another thing is to be baptized, one other thing is to be
sanctified, and filled with the holy spirit. A good example was Moses; he did
not stop with being filled with the Holy Spirit, he moved forward; praise the
Lord…. Exodus 33:13-15; 18-20…. Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in
Your sight, show
me now Your way,
that I may know You and that I may find grace in
Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” 14 And He
said, “My
Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
The presence
of the Lord is the Holy Spirit. 15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence
does not go with us, do not bring us up from here
. The presence of
God was heavy upon Moses, but he said it was not enough. In verse 18
And he said, “Please,
show me Your glory
.” When you ask for the glory of God, you ask for
God Himself. 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I
will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be
gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live
it means that the glory of God is God Himself. When you become a reflection of
His glory, you become God’s incarnate; you become Jesus incarnate. Jesus was
the reflection of the glory of God; and that is what God wants everyone to be. Wherever
you are, people must know that you are carrying the glory of God. When Moses
was carrying the glory of God Exodus 34:29-30… Now it was so, when Moses came
down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand
when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of
his face shone while he talked with Him. 30 So when Aaron and all
the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they
were afraid to come near him. The reason is because the glory of God was upon
him; the glory of the Lord will be upon you, and rise upon you in the name of
Jesus Christ…..
Everybody needs the glory of God,
Isaiah 60:1….. Arise, shine; For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen
upon you. If you cannot pray, just kneel down and say “Father, let your glory be upon me.” When
the glory of the Lord comes upon you, then you will shine; when the glory of
God comes upon you, miracles begin to take place in your life; when the glory
of God comes upon you, what you are struggling for, will be struggling for you.
Moses was coming down from the mountain, and the glory of God was heavy upon
him; his face shone and everybody ran away because of the glory of God. If those
who love Moses ran away because of the glory of God, those who hate you will
run away, they will scatter, and perish because of the glory of God; you will
carry the glory of God today; the glory of God will be upon you in the name of
Jesus Christ. God wants to give you His glory; I want everyone to understand
that the glory of the Lord can never be shared. Psalm 118:17…. I shall not die,
but live, And declare the works of the Lord. You are not going to die; you are
going to live because God wants you to declare His glory. 1 Corinthians 3:9…For
we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 2
Corinthians 5:20…Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were
pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. You
are Christ representative on earth, and He has delivered the kingdom of God
into your hands, and that is why he gave you the keys of heaven that whatever
you bind on earth shall be bind in heaven; and when you lose, it is lose in
heaven; some body shout ALLELUIA……
Everybody must work for the glory
of the Lord; 1 Corinthians 1:31….. That, as it is written, “He who glories, let
him glory in the Lord.”  You must glory
in God because God is the owner of the glory; when God sets His glory on you,
there is no limit to where you are going. Isaiah 42:8…. I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory
I will not give to another
, Nor My praise to carved images. God is
God of glory, and may the glory of the Lord rise upon you; in the name of Jesus
Christ…… Isaiah 60:2….. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and
deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will
be seen upon you. May the glory of the Lord be upon you in the name of Jesus
Christ…. The glory of God is God Himself, nothing can hinder God and nothing
can hinder His glory; nothing can stand against God and nothing can stand
against His glory. The glory of God shall come upon you; in the name of Jesus
Christ…. John 17:1….. Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven,
and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may
glorify You…. God glorified Jesus Christ; and the glory of God was upon Him. Everyone
that accepts the Lord, the glory of God is upon them. This week even if you do
not ask of anything, ask for God’s glory. Moses said “show me your glory.” The glory
of God can make you to move from minimum to maximum; it silences your enemies
permanently; it makes you to fulfill your purpose; it enables you to serve the
Lord acceptably; and it turns situations around for you. Daniel had the glory
of God in Daniel 6:3…. Then this Daniel distinguished
himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in
him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. Let the
excellent spirit of God be upon you in Jesus mighty name….Let the glory of God
set upon you in the name of Jesus…..
You shall be a reflection of His
glory, that wherever you go, they will know that God is God; they will know that
God is great. Jabez asked for the glory of God 1 Chronicles 4: 9-10; his mother
called him Jabez, saying,” because I bore him in pain”…. In verse 10, Jabez
prayed unto the Lord saying, “Oh that you would bless me indeed and enlarge my
territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from
evil, that I may not cause pain”  so the
God granted him what he requested. Jabez that people thought was nothing became
more honorable than anybody in that city; reason because the glory of God was
upon him. Psalm 24:3-4…… Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may
stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who
has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. When the glory of
the Lord comes upon you, every power of darkness, occultic power, marine
spirit, territorial spirit; the kingdom of darkness will crash before you; let
if crash before you in the name of Jesus Christ….. You will possess your
possessions in the name of Jesus Christ…..Praise the name of the Lord with me.
To Carry the Glory of God
1.    You must have
the knowledge of God:
this is because you can only carry the glory
of Him that you know. If you do not know God, how do you want to represent Him?
Many times people say a lot of things about you, but that is not you, because
they do not know you; those who know you, will know that you are not. When you
know God, you will understand His glory; you cannot carry the glory of God when
you do not know God. You must know God. Isaiah 57:1….. The righteous perishes, And
no man takes it to heart; Merciful men are taken away, While no one considers That
the righteous is taken away from evil. If Judas Iscariot died a day before he
betrayed Jesus Christ, he would have made heaven. God loves us so much that He
does not want us to go to hell; it is better for us to die young on earth than
to live long and go to hell. Methuselah lived 969 years and there was nothing
that the bible accounted concerning him.  Enoch walked with God, but he was no more. .the
glory of God will rise upon you today, in the name of Jesus Christ…… when there
is no fear of God, people enter into atrocities, but how can they fear the
person that they do not know? I do not believe that fear of God should be first
thing; the first thing is to have the knowledge of the Almighty; if you have
the knowledge of the Almighty, you will know that God.is a consuming fire. Hebrews
12:29…. For our God is a consuming fire. Deuteronomy
4:24…. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a
jealous God. When you know that God is a jealous God, you will not put
idol with you because any one that worships idol, God is ready to kill that
person. If you do not have the knowledge of God, you remain in the flesh, but
when you have the knowledge of God, you carry the glory of God. The reason is
because, God Job 28:28…. The fear of God is beginning of wisdom…. There is no
way that you can fear God if you do not know Him. The bible made us to
understand that in Antioch the first Christians did not call themselves Christians,
but people saw the glory of God in them and called them Christians. Christians
means Christ like; Acts 11:26…. And when he had found him, he brought him to
Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and
taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in
Antioch. When the glory of God comes upon you, people will change the name they
have given you. Blind Bartimaeus, when he was born, he was not called blind Bartimaeus,
but people gave him that name. the title the Lord has not given you, that the
enemies has given unto you, I cut it off today in the name of Jesus Christ…I erase
every title that the Lord has not given, that the enemies, has given onto you in
the name of Jesus Christ…. Mark 10:46-42….they called him blind Bartimaeus, but
the day Jesus Christ healed him, that title given to him was washed away. The Lord
will transform you today, in the name of Jesus Christ…the Almighty Father will
change your name today in the name of Jesus Christ… you must know God, God
wants you to know Him. Some people have the knowledge of God, but they do not
know God. When God started with Abraham, God revealed Himself to him; whenever
God comes to you, He first wants you to know Him. You can never be intimate
with God until you know God; you must have the knowledge of God. When the Lord
called Moses in Exodus 3:6; 14-15…Moreover He said, “I am the God of your
father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses
hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. He made Moses know that He is
the God of his fathers; 14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to
the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 15 Moreover God
said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and
this is My memorial to all generations.’
God is God; in Isaiah
45:5-6….. I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will
gird you, though you have not known Me, 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting That
there is none besides Me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other. When God begins to walk with you, He
reveals Himself to you; He makes you know who He is. When the children of Israel
were crying, Moses did not cry because he knew his God. Daniel 11:32… Those who do wickedly against the
covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the
people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. There will be a time of adversity; a
time when you are bombarded with so much pressure from the enemies, but when
you know your God; Psalm 121:1… I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help
comes from the Lord, 2 Who made heaven and earth. Every man
must have the knowledge of God.
