THE VESSEL OF GOD

BIBLE READING: MARK 11:1-11
“Now when they drew near Jerusalem to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples and He said to them, Go into the village opposite you and as soon as you have entered it , you will find a colt tied on which no one has sat. Lose it and bring it. And if anyone says to you , why are you doing this? Say, The Lord has need of it, and immediately he will send it here. So they went their way and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street and they loosed it. But some of those who stood there said to them, What are you doing, losing the colt? And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go. Then they brought the colt to Jesus and drew their clothes on it and He sat on it. And many spread their clothes on the road and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then those who went before and those who
followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna” “ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that comes in the name of the Lord. “ Hosanna in the highest.” And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late , He went out to Bethany with the twelve.”

The Vessel of God is the Vessel of honor. Your color, background, position etc does not matter. You just have to see yourself as a vessel of honor. Your right is that you are a holy nation. According to 1 Peter 2:9, “ But you are a chosen generation , a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” As can be seen from the Bible verse , you are called ones. The owners of the colt did not know whose colt it was. Majority of us have been tied down by the forces of darkness but we are loosed by the blood of Jesus. We don’t appreciate some people in our lives who has helped to uplift us. Psalm 118:17 says “ I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.” You will live to declare the glory of God in Jesus Name . Amen. Israel was waiting for the Messiah and they did not know
that the Messiah had come. When Jesus empowers you, you are empowered to overpower principalities and powers and other forces of darkness. Through Jesus, you are loaded with anointing, you can move forward because God has deposited His potential in you. Psalm 122:1 says ‘ I was glad when they said to me ‘ Let us go into the house of the Lord. Since you are in the presence of God , you must be glad to worship the king of glory. Psalm 84:1:10 says “ How lovely is your tabernacle O Lord of hosts.” “ For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” There is no other place better than the house of God. God will establish your steps in Jesus Name. Amen. God is God. He is faithful. Psalm 103:17 says “ But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him and His righteousness
to children’s children. God will make you great. The favor of God that kept you alive will not make you weep. May the Lord single you out of the crowd for excellence, bless you and keep you. The favor of God is divine and does not c ome by your power, position, citizenship, intelligence, color, stature but by His might. The favor of God will not depart from you in Jesus Name, Amen. You need the favor of God in your life, that is, for expansion, enlargement, promotion etc just the same way God favored Moses, David and Joseph. He can make the poor to be the richest, make an illiterate to lead. Isaiah 40:8 says “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts , Nor are your ways My ways says the Lord.”
God ordered some people’s paths in His ways and they later deviated, even saying negative things against God’s chosen instruments. Colossians 1:16 says “ For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions , principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Again Galatians 2:20 says ” I have been crucified with Christ ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.” You are made for Christ. If you live your life by yourself, you are not for Christ. Do not control your time yourself. God can delay you for a reason because He is the controller of time. He dictates your destiny, journey , life because you cannot do it for yourself. You are not yet in Jesus Christ if you do whatever you
like.
WHAT TIES PEOPLE DOWN
1. MONEY
Money ties people down. The glory of God is in you but you are not using the potentials God deposited in you. Everything tying you down spiritually or physically is pulled down in Jesus Name. Amen. I Timothy 6:10 says “ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” It is because of the love for money some people do not come to church because they want double pay weekend jobs. You should tell your supervisors that you are not available on Sundays. You and everybody in your household must come and worship God. Deliverance covers your body and household but your salvation cannot cover your children.

2. MARRIAGE
Marriage is ordained by God. Genesis 2:18 says “ And the Lord God said, it is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” God made marriage for Himself and not against Himself. God showed us that He is a consuming fire when He cursed Adam and Eve for disobedience. God created women to serve the Lord and to populate His kingdom. God is ever happy to see mothers carry their grandchildren.

3. FEAR
Whatever good or bad you do in this life, people must talk of you. For you to do good, the spirit of God will supply the wisdom through His word because God wants to take glory for Himself. Everybody must serve the Lord. Do not allow fear to tie you down. Crowd can also tie you down. Your family members can be your crowd. Some people move from church to another for miracles. We are the property of Jesus. He is our Lord, savior, and Messiah. The Lord says ” Loose the Colt”, therefore , you are loosed, you have triumphed, you are victorious in Jesus
Name. Amen.
