John 5:5-14…..Now a certain
man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus
saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long
time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” 7 The sick man
answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is
stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And
immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day
was the Sabbath. 10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured,
“It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.” 11
He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’”
12 Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up
your bed and walk’?” 13 But the one who was healed did not know who
it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. 14
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been
made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” Matthew 3:7-10..…
when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said
to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8
Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to
say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God
is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 10 And
even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which
does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Many years past, the man
still had the believe that he will be made well; and I believe, many people
departed from him. The man said “I have nobody to put me in the pool” you may
not have anybody, to take care of you but Jesus is with you; the Lord will take
care of you in the name of Jesus….. Psalm 27:10… When my father and my
mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me. God will take good care
of you in the name of Jesus Christ….. The man waited for 38 years; Jesus is the
only way, whatever happens to us; let it happen because we know our redeemer
liveth. Jesus lives and He reigns; Jesus stepped into this man’s life; Jesus
specifically passed that place because of that man. Remember there were many
sick people around, but he was the only person that Jesus Christ touched.  Psalm 46:1…. God is our refuge and
strength, A very present help in trouble. He is
a very present help in trouble, He will see you through and bail you out in the
name of Jesus Christ…… Mark 10:46-52…… Now they came to Jericho. As He went
out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the
son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. ……Jesus specifically passed there
because of that man. I can tell you that Jesus is passing by this morning; and
it might be because of you; and He will answer your prayer in the name of Jesus
Christ… Luke 19:1-5; 9-10 Then Jesus entered and passed through
Jericho. 2 Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a
chief tax collector, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see who
Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. 4
So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was
going to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, He
looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down,
for today I must stay at your house.” Jesus passed there that day because of
Zacchaeus.   9 And
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this
house, because he also is a son of Abraham; 10 for the Son of
Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Today, the salvation of
God has entered into your life in the name of Jesus…..
Jesus was to go from Galilee
to Judea; He has to pass through Samaria. He sat down by the well in Samaria
because of somebody; because of a woman that the enemies have turned to
prostitute, who was supposed to be a prophetess. Jesus Christ changed the
woman’s life on that day; because of you Jesus is here today. Jesus Christ was
passing through the city of Nain because of a widow in Luke 7:11-15…. Now
it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of
His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. 12 And when He came
near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only
son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was
with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and
said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then He came and touched the open
coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say
to you, arise.” 15 So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And
He presented him to his mother…..Jesus said weep not because God has turned
your mourning to dancing and weeping to joy; may the Lord wipe out everybody’s
tears today in the name of Jesus Christ… Jesus is passing by; He will touch you
today, in the name of Jesus Christ…..
So Jesus said to the man,
“Rise, take up your bed and walk.” The man rose up, the 38 years sickness
disappeared within a minute, because at the Master’s voice every knee must bow;
praise the name of the Lord.  The man was
made well, now his adversaries said “why should he be healed on Sabbath day?”
you can understand how devilish people are; somebody that has been sick for 38 years,
you are supposed to celebrate with him; instead they said it is not the day he
is supposed to be healed.  You may not
please man, you better please God. So they asked him who made him well and he
said he does not know the person; because he did not know that it was Jesus
Christ. When Jesus met him in the temple, He said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing
come upon you.” It means that God gave him another chance; God is God of
second chance. God is giving everyone a second chance; He said in Romans 3:4…Certainly
not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.
As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, And may overcome
when You are judged. God is not a man, man wants you to die, but God wants you
to live. Man is full of condemnation in their mouth. But God is full of
justification from His throne. Whenever man condemns you, you do not need to be
troubled until God Himself condemns you; praise the Lord….
If God condemns you, then
you are condemned, but if God does not condemn you, you are not condemned.
Romans 8:31-32…. What then shall we say to these things? If
God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare His own
Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely
give us all things? God is giving you a second chance; when you have an
accident, accident that has taken many lives away, but it did not take your
life away. This is because He is giving you another chance. Some people have
had accident more than 5 or 6 times; while other will have just one and not
survive. You are still alive and strong today because He is giving you another
chance; therefore, he wants you to repent. Romans 8:29….. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to
be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many
brethren. He predestined you right from heaven; God knows what He wants you to
become. He wants you to be like Jesus His son. This is a great love that you
cannot find anywhere else Jesus Christ died for us. Some of you have passed
through illness, sickness that have taken many lives away, but here you are
this morning still waxing stronger. You are still alive because He has given
you a second chance. You can offend man and they cut you off; but we are
offending God every minute; but God is washing away our sins through the blood
of His son. 1 Kings 18:39…. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their
faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!” God is God
that is why when God speaks a word He performs it. God is the one that protects
you, preserves and covers you; you are preserved in the name of Jesus Christ…..
The Lord has been your
strength; He has healed and delivered you. He took away all the toxins from
your body and kept you from harm’s way because He loves you; somebody shout
ALLELUIA……. You shall not die, but live to declare the works of the Lord; in
the name of Jesus Christ….. If the Lord opens your eyes to see the plans of the
enemies in their camp; you will be grateful and thank the Lord every day. If
you know what the enemies have in store for you, you will know that God loves
you. You are still alive today, because His grace is upon you; somebody say
AMEN….. Every good gift is from God, He never does evil; God did not let you
die because He is watching over your life. He is doing all these because He is
giving you another chance to repent, another chance to come to Him.  When John the Baptist started his ministry in
Matthew 3:2….. And saying, “Repent,
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” when Jesus Christ started His own
ministry He repeated the same thing in Matthew 4:17….. From
that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent,
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” God is giving you another chance
to come to Him; many people have finished their life line, but yet God is
giving you another chance; so today is the day of repentance.
God gives us another chance?

1.    It is
because He loves you, and He does not want you to die
. 2
Peter 3:9….The Lord is not slack concerning His
promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing
that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. God wants
every one of us to repent; He does not want anybody to die. Ezekiel
18:30-32…..“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, everyone according
to his ways,” says the Lord God. “Repent, and turn from all your
transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. 31 Cast away
from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a
new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? 32
For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God.
“Therefore turn and live! Everyone that has experienced one or more
misfortunes, and disaster; those things did not take your life away, because
God is giving you another chance. He loves and cares for you. Last week, God
told us to make peace, and whatever that will make us not to get to heaven; we
need to clear it off today. Repent, if the trumpet sounds today, not everyone
that says Lord will get to heaven; unless those who do the will of Christ. Not
all those who are in church will be raptured; not every pastor, General
overseer will be raptured. Some people make people to get to heaven; but they
themselves will not get to heaven. 1 Corinthians 9:27….But
I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached
to others, I myself should become disqualified. What Apostle Paul was
saying is that, why make others get to heaven and be cut off from heaven; I
want to make heaven. Galatians 6:7….. Do not be
deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a
man sows, that he will also reap. You can deceive your pastor, but you
cannot deceive God. There is prosperity and God is going to bless you; but He
said in Matthew 6:33…. But seek first the kingdom of
God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. God
gave David a second chance, the first time when he sinned against God; he took
another person’s wife and killed the husband. The Lord overthrew him through
his son, but when he repented, the Lord restored him back. God is a merciful
God; if we are using our body for what is not right, remember 1 Corinthians
3:16…..Do you not know that you are the temple of God and
that the Spirit of God dwells in you? You are the one God wants to use; you are
the one that will bring light to the gentiles.  Matthew 5:14….. “You are
the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
You are the one God wants to use 1 Corinthians 3:16-17…. Do you not know that
you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17
If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of
God is holy, which temple you are. You are the temple of God; God is giving you
another chance. While there is life, there is hope; tomorrow will be better.
God knows what your destiny reads, you cannot jump the queue; do not move
before your time. When your time comes, you will be glowing; that is why we
rejoice with those who are rejoicing. Lets celebrate those who are celebrating,
so that when our own time comes; it is not only earth that will celebrate us,
the heaven also, will celebrate us. May God celebrate you today; may the heaven
celebrate you today in the name of Jesus Christ…..
wants you to fulfill your purpose
. He knows that the moment
you die, you cannot fulfill purpose anymore. Jesus wanted Lazarus to fulfill
purpose that is why He resurrected him.
wants to put your enemies to shame
. Hebrews 10:37-38… “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and
will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if
anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. The blessing that is coming
will surely come. Habakkuk 2:2-4….. Then the Lord answered me and
said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads
it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it
will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it
will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 “Behold the proud, His soul
is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Ecclesiastes
3:11….. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also
He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work
that God does from beginning to end. When your time comes you are going to
shine; you will shine in the name of Jesus Christ….. Psalm 115:1-3… Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth. 2 Why should the Gentiles say, “So where is their God?” 3
But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Whatever pleases
God is what the Lord does; some people have wasted their second chance, but God
is still giving them another chance, and this might be the last. Hebrews
9:27….. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the
I do not want to face judgment and condemnation; I want to make heaven; if you
want to make heaven repent. Jesus said “see you have been made well, sin no
more because if you sin again, there will be no more chance.” Mathew 3:10…..
And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees.
Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is
cut down and thrown into the fire. John 15:5-6…… “I
am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears
much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not
abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them
and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. Do not let your life be like
that, today let us change. The reason why we come to church is so that our life
might be changed, so that we can be able to make heaven; so that we can be able
to reign together with God. There is life after death; this world is full of
atrocities; and iniquities. Those that you helped have turned against you, but
heaven is not like that. Heaven is a home of peace, a home of joy, there is no
sadness. Revelations 21:4…. And God will
wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow,
nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
