5/24/13 FIGHTING THE
SPIRIT OF COMPROMISE

Daniel 6:16…So the king gave the command, and they
brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying
to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”

Daniel
6:1-14. We need to fight the spirit of compromise today; we have compromised in
so many things because we feel we do not have the power to accomplish or
overcome it. Whenever you are going to the next level, there will always be
conspirators conspiring against you; they will gather together to stop your
mission; make things hard for you or to cut you off. But you should understand
that you are going somewhere; I want you to understand that you have a purpose
to fulfill. People that are working against and disturbing you have no purpose
in life; they do not have what you have. So they want to take what you have
from you; but you will not allow anybody to take what you have away from you;
and they will not take it away in the name of Jesus Christ…… Abraham did not
compromise, that is why in Genesis 25:5…… And Abraham gave all that he had to
Isaac. Because they could not take it away from him, so he was able to transfer
it to his son. Proverb 13:22…. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the
wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. God does not want you to
compromise; Daniel was truly a captive, but he has become a governor. When
people want to ridicule you, they make people understand who you are, or what
you are before. This man was one of the governors, but the time they conspired
against him; they said “Daniel one of the captives from Israel.” The king was
thinking of making him be over everybody, to be governor of governors; that
even the governors will be reporting to him. But when they saw that it was
going to happen they conspired to stop him; as God is watching over you;
somebody is watching you. God is watching over you to protect you and that is
why in Psalm 121:3-4….. He
will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4
Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. So God watches
over you, but others are watching you to trap you down; to cancel and destroy
you; but they will not succeed in the name of Jesus Christ….. The spirit of
compromise is in this world, pastors want to compromise with people so that there
congregation can be large. Pastors want to compromise with sin and all these
atrocities; they want to compromise about speaking against sin; not to talk
about heaven; not to talk about anything of holiness or righteousness. But to
continue to promise people with empty mouth; with empty word that cannot
connect heaven or that cannot provoke heaven to bring anything.

1 John
4:19…..We love Him because He first loved us. Before we give God anything, He
has already given us many things; He has given us love before we give love. We
have to fight the spirit of compromise; in the house father compromises, mother
compromises, even parents compromise with their children. The spirit of compromise
is in the government, in the church of God, in the family, our work place, and
everywhere. Some people have compromised their faith, but God is warning us
today, to fight the spirit of compromise. When you fight the spirit of
compromise, the Lord God almighty; the great in battle, will now fight the
battles of your life and He will give you victory in the name of Jesus Christ.
They were watching Daniel to see what they can do to terminate him; Daniel was
working, eating, and dining with them. There are some people that you are close
with and do things together, but they are the greatest enemies of your life.
Some people say things with their mouth, but their heart are far from you; John
6:15…. Therefore when
Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him
king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone. Jesus departed
because he understood what people are, they wanted to make Him king by force.
When you understand what people are, when they say Hosanna today, crucify will
be tomorrow. It is better for you not to sin against your God, not to offend
God, than men. Offend men so that you will not offend God; do not compromise
your faith. Whatever will be, will be; whatever God has promised, nobody can
change it. Your destiny cannot be altered; and I want to say to you, nobody has
power over your life. God owns your life, He has the key of your life; God can
send people to you to support you; to help and bail you out; but God will not
allow you to bow down or worship men while you are supposed to worship Him;
Praise the Lord….

You do not
know  the God that you serve; that is why
you are afraid that someone wants to kill you; who is that person that wants to
kill you? Luke 12:2-6…. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed,
nor hidden that will not be known.  3
Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and
what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the
housetops. 4 “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who
kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  5 But I will show you whom you should
fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I
say to you, fear Him…! It is God that you have to fear; they told Daniel if he
tries to call upon any other person, he will be thrown into the den of lions,
but he did not care. The bible said, “Daniel climbed into his upper room and
opened the windows, towards Jerusalem, and knelt down 3 times in a day; and his
enemies were watching him.” They knew he was praying 3 times a day because they
mentioned it; they knew he did not obey the decree of the king. Why should I
obey the decree of the king to sin against my God; why should I obey the decree
of the king to terminate my life? Why should I obey the decree of the king for
God to depart from me? Why do you want to obey the voice of man? What are the
things that you are going through? What are the things that they have decreed
in your office, in your family; in your church, in the country that is against
your God, that they want to force you into? If you get there and you do it and
die in it, you will go to hell. But if you say NO, your God who delivered
Daniel from the den of lions, is more than able to deliver you; to strengthen
you; and to give you victory; in the name of Jesus……Praise the Lord……..

Daniel was
going into another level; the king was thinking of moving Daniel more than others,
because there was spirit of God in him. The bible said, “Daniel distinguished
himself above the satraps and the governors because an excellent spirit was in
him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.” The moment
they saw the movement of the king, they plot to kill him; they said because he
is a captive, and a stranger. When Daniel was doing what they could not do;
when king Nebuchadnezzar had a dream in Daniel chapter 2, and there was no
interpretation to it; nobody could tell the king the interpretation of his
dreams. It was Daniel who did it; the bible made us to understand that king
Nebuchadnezzar prostrated before Daniel; and Daniel was so great at that time.
But when they wanted to kill him, they made the king to comprehend that he was
from Judah. We are so carried away by empty words of people; we are carried
away when we are flattered; we are carried away, when people tell us what we
want to hear.

The 3 type of people you are supposed to love in your
life.

1.      People who say what you
do not want to hear
: people who tell you what you do not want to hear; many leaders fail
because those who are their advisers do not give them good advice; because they
tell him/her what he/she wants to hear. You should love people that tell you
what you do not want to hear. You know the truth is bitter.

2.      People who always
criticize you
:
When people criticize you, it gives you sleepless nights. When you know that
you are a man or woman of vision and you are criticized; you will not let your
enemies to rejoice over you, then you buckle up yourself. When everybody is praising
you, in your support and nothing goes against you; you can fail or crash. But
when you are facing challenges, criticisms, all those people you are supposed
to love them. Suffering happens, but it is not forever. 1 Peter 5:10…..But may
the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after
you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. God
will settle you today in the name of Jesus….. We are not going to compromise;
do you know that we cannot compromise with sickness in our body. When they tell
you that you are going to die; tell them that you are not going to die. What
the doctor is saying is a fact, but we as Christians are not working with the
fact that the sickness will kill a person, but it is with the truth, that with
God all things are possible. God is our healer; doctors are not our healer; so
we stand on the truth, not for the fact. People will tell you what others are
saying; but we will tell them what God had said. For my thoughts are not your
thoughts; my ways are not your ways, says the Lord. Their thoughts are not
God’s thought. Their thought is we are going to die; but Gods thought is that
you are going to live. Their own ways, we are going to be paralyzed; but God’s
way, we are going to be alive and strong. May you be strong in the name of
Jesus Christ….. Whenever anything happens to you; first say that God can handle
it. 1 Corinthians 10:13….No temptation has overtaken you except such as is
common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond
what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape,
that you may be able to bear it. God will make a way of escape for you today in
the name of Jesus Christ…… Fighting the spirit of compromise; today we are
not going to compromise; we will not compromise with money; we will not
compromise with global economy recession. Our God is able; 2 Corinthians 8:9…..For
you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for
your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. He
bore our poverty so that we can have prosperity; He bore our lack so that we
can have. Psalm 34:5….. They
looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. Isaiah 60:5……
Then you shall see and become
radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea
shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. The Lord
will make you look radiant in the name of Jesus Christ….. From today stop
limiting God; stop putting limitation upon the power of God; stop limiting
yourself, and do not say it can never be possible for you; it is possible for
you. You do not need money in the bank account for you to prosper because God
does not look unto your job; He does not look unto your financial background
before He promises you. He promises you because He is able to do it; He knows
that you are empty and do not have. But He said “I want to bless you.” God will
bless you in the name of Jesus…. I like people of faith to work with me; people
that can tell me “Yes we can, let us move to the next level.” We have to move
to the next level; it is the time to move to the next level; you are moving to
the next level in the name of Jesus Christ…..

3.      People that are vision
carriers
; people
that understand you and what you are doing. These people understand that you
have a purpose. The vision carriers will carry you to your destiny, because
that is their purpose. Daniel was thrown into the den of lions; but his God was
with him. The king said “The Lord that you serve, He will deliver you.” When
you are so sure of your God, the rest is secondary. Proverbs 16:7…. When a man’s ways please the Lord, He
makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Many of us are not so sure of
our God, and that is why we work so hard to attain some things, but we are not
attaining it; because we are not so sure of ourselves. Colossians 2:14….
having wiped out the
handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And
He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. All the words
that are contrary to us God has wiped it off and cleared it away from our
lives. Praise the Lord…. I speak in the name of Jesus you are going somewhere
in the name of Jesus Christ….. Daniel was praying when they said nobody should
petition anyone except the king; they knew he was praying because he opens his
window to pray. If God is for us, who can be against us; why should a child of
God be shaking? He was thrown into the den of lions, because he was calling
upon his God. When he was presented before the king, he did not say anything,
he did not argue with them. Getting to the den of lions nothing happened; the
king woke up in the morning, and went to the den, saying to Daniel; ““Daniel,
servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able
to deliver you from the lions?” How did the king know? He was thrown in the
lion’s den overnight, and he went there in the morning; the king saw something
special in Daniel’s life; there is something special about you; there is
something special about your life. Women you are not going to compromise your
marriage; men you are not going to compromise your leadership. Even when you
are sick, do not compromise your body with sickness; tell the sickness that it
must go. Jesus Christ gave us power when He said; “if you have faith like the
mustard seed, you will command the mountain to move and it shall obey you” Mark
11:22-23….. So Jesus
answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this
mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his
heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have
whatever he says.   Daniel had faith in
God, because he knows that God is able to deliver him. God is able to deliver
you; have faith in God and do not compromise.

Anything that you are doing that is giving you pain or problem; is
because there is something good in it. Micah 7:8….. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy;
When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to
me. If you fall, you will rise again; a man or a woman that falls is not a
failure, until he/she decides not to rise again. When Jacob was wrestling with
the angel in Genesis 32:36…. And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not
let You go unless You bless me!” The angel broke the socket of his hip, he did
not let him go, but he clutched on to him. Majority of us allow the problems
that we have paralyze everything in our lives. Blind Bartimaeus cried out in Mark
10:46-52….. Jesus and
his disciples went to Jericho. And as they were leaving, they were followed by
a large crowd. A blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting
beside the road.  47 When he
heard that it was Jesus from Nazareth, he shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have
pity on me!”  48 Many people
told the man to stop, but he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on
me!” 49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him
over!” They called out
to the blind man and said, “Don’t be afraid! Come on! He is calling for
you.”  50 The man threw off
his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus. The people that quieted him, the
same people called him out. People that have dishonored you, the same people
will honor you in the name of Jesus Christ….. People that have disrespected
you, the same people will bow down to you in the name of Jesus Christ…..
