12/29/2013 WHO IS ON
BOARD WITH YOU?
Jonah 1:1-7……Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai,
saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out
against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” 3 But
Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to
Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down
into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. 4 But
the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on
the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up.5 Then the
mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo
that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had
gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast
asleep.6 So the captain came to him, and said to him, “What do
you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us,
so that we may not perish.”7 And they said to one another,
“Come, let us cast lots that we may know for whose cause this trouble has
come
upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.
God sent Jonah to Nieneveh but instead, he fled from the presence of God
and went to Tarshish. When he fled, he believed that God will not see him. We are
crossing over into 2014 and the Lord has sent this message of freedom,
encouragement and exaltation to everyone who is on board with you. One person
offended God; the whole people on board were affected; in the time of the
children of Israel, when they were to destroy Jericho, the Lord warned  that anyone taking spoils from Jericho would
“make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it” (Joshua
6:18-19). There was a greedy man called Achan, who took gold and hid it;
because of this, the Israelites were defeated and some were killed by Ai; this
is due to the fact that somebody offended God. If you look at 2013, from
January to this hour; you have a story to tell, there has been ups and downs,
turbulence, and storm. Many things that we should have accomplished we are
unable to attain it because some people were on board with us for 2013; are
they still following you? It is time for everybody to examine him/herself, examine
where we are going; what we are doing right now; and who is on board with us.
Anyone that has done anything for you in life has done it because God has
commanded him/her to do it. Esther 4:13-14…. And Mordecai told them to answer
Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace
any more than all the other Jews.  14
For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will
arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will
perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as
this?” what Mordecai was saying is that; if you do not do it, God is going to
send another helper. Do not let anyone sit on what they have done for you; nobody
should sit on your glory because they have helped you. Crossing over to 2014
who is on board with you? Who are the people that you are talking to; who are
your counselors? Who are your friends? People did not know that Jonah was on
board with them; he was a man of God whose presence on board is enough to stop
every windstorm. He was supposed to be a person to bless and preach, but
instead of preaching to them he went to sleep.
The Spirits that Jonah Possesses
1.    Spirit of disobedience– God sent him to Nineveh to warn the city, and Jonah did
not go, he disobeyed God. Everyone that has disobeyed God can never obey you,
unless you are in the same camp with them. If you a Godly and have the heart
for God; whoever disobeys God can never obey you. King Saul disobeyed Go; and
because of this he could not obey the children of Israel. He could not hold the
kingdom the Lord gave to him; whoever disobeys God has disobeyed all.   1 Samuel 10:8…..You shall go down before me
to Gilgal; and surely I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and make
sacrifices of peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, till I come to you
and show you what you should do.” Prophet Samuel did not show up; 1 Samuel 13:8;
10-12; & 14…..Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by
Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from
him.  Saul offered the sacrifice that was
supposed to be offered by a priest because the people scattered from him and he
felt compelled. As he finished the sacrifice Samuel came. 10 Now it
happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel
came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.11 And
Samuel said, “What have you done?” Saul said, “When I saw that the people were
scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and
that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, 12 then I said,
‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made
supplication to the Lord.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt
offering.” 14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself
a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over
His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.”

When God is chastising
us, let’s be happy and receive it; by the time He stops chastising, it

means
that He has replaced us. Whenever God replaces anyone, He does not look back
again.  When Elijah was running away from
God, He was replaced by Elisha; In Moses case it was Joshua that brought the children
of Israel to the promise Land. Anyone that possesses the spirit of disobedience
cannot be on board with you; because he/she will rub off on you and you too
will disobey God. 1 Samuel 15:22…..“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt
offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat
of rams. God told Saul to go to Amalek to destroy the king everything;
but he destroyed some things and kept things that he felt was good. Jonah was a
disobedient servant, because he disobeyed God,
he put everybody in jeopardy.

1.
Deceptive spirit– When
God sent Jonah to Nieneveh
he left home; he thought he was deceiving God but he was deceiving himself.   Everyone
one with deceptive spirit can never be on board with you, because deceptive spirit
cannot give anybody any honor. I cancel and uproot every deceptive spirit in
your life in the name of Jesus…… Matthew 15:13….But He answered and said,
“Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. God did
not plant deceptive spirit and if they are on board with you; God Almighty will
uproot them in the name of Jesus Christ.
2.
Jonah was a joker– He
fled from the presence of God; can anyone fled from the presence of God? Psalm 139:7-8…… Where can I go from Your
Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You
are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. We have a lot of
jokers on board with us and they are liars; a liar can never be on board with
you, in order to accomplish the promise and purpose of God. If a joker is on
board with you; today they will depart from you in the name of Jesus Christ…..
3.
Manipulative spirit– He
knew he was the one that caused the problem, yet he did not say anything. He allowed
all the cargos of the passengers that boarded the ship to be thrown into the
sea; he wasted their money and resources. Because of one person’s sin the whole
passengers on board suffered. Whoever will make you to suffer in 2014 God will
uproot them from your life in the name of Jesus Christ; whoever that will make
you to run into problem the Lord will uproot them in the name of Jesus Christ….  The wind was so much and the bible said “the
ship was about to be broken up”; and Jonah was sleeping. Even when they said “who
has caused this”; he knew it was him, yet he pretended. They were casting lot;
still he did not say anything; he was the only priest there; they told
everybody to call on their god; but it was only him that had the real God and
he did not do anything. Everyone with manipulative spirit must not be on board
with you; today I uproot them in the name of Jesus Christ….
4.
Jonah is a man with no mercy– Anyone
who does not have mercy is a wicked man. Jonah 1:1-2 God told Jonah to go to
Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; to Nineveh, that great city,
and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me; cry out
means warn them. When Jonah was swallowed by the fish, the Lord told the fish
to vomit him into dry land. Jonah 2:10….
So
the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. Jonah 3:1-4…….Now
the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, 2
“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I
tell you.”  3 So Jonah arose
and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an
exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent. 4 And
Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and
said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” that was not what God
said. In Jonah chapter one the Lord said “cry out against it”; in Jonah chapter
three God said “preach.” Instead Jonah said “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall
be overthrown!” that was all he said and left. He was expecting the down fall
of that city; when God say “calamity is coming” He must tell you the solution;
that is why in Deuteronomy 28:1….“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently
obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments
which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all
nations of the earth. So if God says “there is going to be destruction”; He
will tell us to change; God does not want anybody to die. 2 Peter 3:9….The Lord
is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should
come to repentance. Jonah 3:5….. So the people of Nineveh believed God,
proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of
them. He did not tell them the solution, the people found solution for
themselves. Jonah
3:10… Then
God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented
from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do
it. Jonah
4:1-3, 8-19…. But
it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. Jonah is a man that does
not have any mercy; a wicked man/woman shall not be on board with you. Everyone
that possesses the spirit of wickedness the Lord will remove them from your
life in the name of Jesus….. Jonah was angry because the Lord did not destroy the city. 2 So
he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was
still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that
You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness,
One who relents from doing harm.  3 Therefore
now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than
to live!” the Lord look unto him and made a plant to cover him; but Jonah was
very disturbed. 8 And it happened, when the sun arose, that God
prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah’s head, so that he
grew faint. Then he wished death for himself, and said, “It is better for me to
die than to live.” 9 Then God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to
be angry about the plant?”
And
he said, “It is right for me to be angry, even to death!” 10 But
the Lord said, “You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored,
nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. 11 And
should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred
and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and
their left—and much livestock?” that was the end of Jonah; the book of Jonah
ended in question mark. Everyone that possesses the spirit of wickedness that
is on board with you I uproot them from your life today, in the name of Jesus
Christ…….
