07/27/2012;MY DESPERACY

MY DESPERACY

Jacob wrestled with the angel of God and he prevailed, he wants us to fight for our destiny,vision and future….”I will never let you go unless you bless me”………………Genesis 32:22-29.

God wants us to develop holy anger in order to have holy desperacy, Jacob wrestled alone for his blessing, he left his wife,children,donkeys and cattles to crossover the River and he stood alone with no distraction and wrestled with the angel, he wanted to be alone with God, if nobody prays for you,God wants you to fight a great battle for your destiny.

In our present life we have resolved to be comfortable with the minimum,the law of receiving is; ask you shall receive,seek you shall find, knock the door will be open unto you….Matthew 7:7.
Behold I stand and knock at the door, if anyone hears my voice and open the door, I will come in and be with him………Revelation 3:20, God will fulfill his promises in our lives.

OUR DESPERACY MUST BE IN SIX WAYS:

1)Our desperacy must be unto God;

God wants our desperacy to be directed unto him, not unto Man,or our wife when your request is been made to her and vice versa or our children when we tell them to do something and they demand sometihing in return……..but unto you oh Lord do I lift up my soul,I trust in you don’t let me be ashamed and don’t let my enemies triumph over me ………..Psalm 25:1&2.We need to look unto God, unto you do i lift up the eyes,you who dwells in the heavens……Psalm 123:1, and he said those who put their trust him are like mountain which cannot be removed,but abideth forever;As the mountains surrounds Jerusalem ,so the Lord surrounds his people, but now and forever………Psalm 125:1&2.When we look around us, we will see what the Lord has done, he has built a wall of fire around us.God has been favourable to us;I will look unto you favourably and confirm my convenant with you………………Psalm 85:1&Leviticus 26:9.

We should trust in the Lord; It is good to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in Man;and Princes of the Earth……………Psalm 118:8&9;………Lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths……… Proverbs 3:3-5; Waiting on the Lord, for you shall inherit the earth and your enemies will be destroyed…Psalm 37:34, Psalm 27:13……” I would have lost heart unless i have believed that I will see the goodness of Lord in the land of the living”. Psalm 20:7&8…..some trust in chariots and horses, but we will trust in the name of our God;they have bowed down and fallen but we have risen and still standing. Psalm 22:3-5……Our God is holy,enthroned in the praises of Israel, our Fathers trusted him and he never abandon them.The Lord  had mercy on them, when they cried to him for deliverance and he indeed delivered them; Psalm 25:14…..The secret of the Lord belongs to those who love & fear him, and make us have his convenant.

 In Luke 18:38&39…..Blind Bartimaeus looked unto for God;The crowd tried to shut him up, but he shouted even louder “Jesus son of  David have mercy on me”; Man can disappoint us, but God can never disappoint us,because he is a convenant keeping God.We need to be focused in life and avoid all distractions,what God has in stock for us, is greater than our imagination and expection.We should worship God, in the beauty of his holiness, because he is the; King of Kings;Lord of Lords;Mightier than the Mightest;Greater than the Greatest;Better than the Best;I am that I am; Higher than the Highest and he is the  Majesty.

2)Our desperacy must not be accompanied with self righteousness;

There is no one righteous before, no not one……….Psalm 14:3&.Psalm 53:3;For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God………Romans 3:23….1 John 1:8&9……..If we say we donot have  any sin, we decieve ourselves and the truth is not in us ;but if we confess our sins,he is just and faithful to forgive ours sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

 Our unrighteousness is a sin …….I John 5:17,we should not come before God with self righteousness,the blessing of God and his forgiveness, we don’t deserve it ,but for his Grace, that is abundant upon us; Genesis 6:8 …..Noah found Grace in the sight of God, Psalm 51:3………God has no choice than to forgive David …..”I acknowledge my  transgression and my sins are ever before me”…;he who covereth his sins shall not prosper, but if we confess and forsake them, will have the mercy of God.

Luke 15:16….Jesus looked at the Pharisee and said, you are among those who justify themselves among men but God knows your heart; What is highly esteemed before men, is an abomination in the sight of God; Luke 18:14………”I tell you the sinner, went home justified than the Pharisee, whoever exaltes himself shall be abased; but whosoever humbles himself shall be exalted”.1Corithians 2:9……Eyes has not seen,nor Ear heard, what God has in stock for us.

3)Our desperacy must not be accompanied with the spirit of competition;

There is no need trying to live and be like someone, because our vision differ from eachother.The anointing of God is for complementation not for competition,our desperacy  should not be a matter of competition.
 In Luke 9:49&50……John said to Jesus, we saw someone casting out demons in your name and we rebuked him, because he was not part of us; But Jesus replied donot rebuke him,because whoever is not against us, is for us. Jesus made them to understand that, his own anointing is not for competition, but he has to complement; Let’s not ask God “WHY” he blessed someone before us,what right do they have, that we don’t have “NO” such prayer is not answered by God, but in humility ask for your own blessing, let’s not be desperate because we are competing with others;Because such desperacy, leads to Jealousy,to Hatred, to Wickedness and leads to Death;don’t be like others be yourself……Hanan stayed back after the Grace to pray desperately to God for a male child,she did not mention her rival; Not for God to bless her to be like her rival,no she didn’t, but asked God to look at her bitter and sorrowful heart in blessing her and she will give the son back to God’s kingdom, that’s the kind of prayer God answers.Jacob did not want to be like others but greate than others…..

4)Our desperacy must not be  for selfish desires;

In our daily prayers, we ask God for so many things;But God is asking, what we will use it for?……Hanan asked God to  bless her with a male child and that she will give, the son back to God’s kingdom, that’s the kind of prayer God answers;When Jesus started his ministry …Luke 4:18&19..”The spirit of the Lord is upon me,he has anointed me, to preach to the poor,he has sent me to heal the broken hearted,recovery of sight to the blind,to proclaim liberty to those in captivity,to open the gates of those in prison and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord……the anointing came upon Jesus,to influence and bless others.

People ask God for Power, but he doesn’t give it to them,because he knows they will not use it…..Acts 1:8…You shall receive power,when the holyspirit of God comes upon you  and you will be made witnesses to God,in Jerusalem,Samaria,Judea and to the outermost part of the earth; Noone lights a candle and put it under the table, but puts it on a lamp stand, so it will show light to everyone in the house…..May the Lord make you the light of the World in Jesus name…..Amen.

5)Our desperacy must not be to destroy other people’s vision and blessing;

Asking God, because we are  desperate,to destroy and kill someone in order to take their postion,such desperate prayers are not answered;The head of our family, be it male or female,the first born child in the family. because they act like fathers and mothers to us,and we do not like it,or even our managing directors in the office where we work, for that reason we want them terminated from the earth, so we will take over……”NO”…….We should ask in desperacy to God, for the right position,that God has destined for us.

6)Our desperacy must be according to the will of God;

At times, we ask for what God has no approved for us,God can only give us want we need and are able to maintain in sustainance of our resources;God doesn’t want his name to be blasphemed but to be glorified;Let his will be done in our lives.

Why was Jacob desperate?……..

1)He knew where he was coming from;

Jacob told, Laban’s son your father changed my wages 10 times……..Genesis 31:7,Laban was a wicked man and he worshipped idols, he did not want to let Jacob go…..Genesis 30:30;,Jacob was coming from a cruel and hostile environment, when he left Laban, he did not want to go back to him…;we are all coming from a dangerous land,people,house, generation and journey,we should know, where we are coming from and struggle for our destiny because, we have many opportunities in the land, to reach our goal;”we need to learn from where we are coming from and be desperate for the next level”; “FORWARD EVER AND BACKWARD EVER”;every of your expectations, will turn to physical manifestations in the name of Jesus..Amen.

2)He knew where he was going to;

Genesis 32:6……….Jacob sent a message to his brother Esau,and he was coming to meet him with an army of 400 men.His messengers return with the new, and Jacob knew he couldn’t go back to Laban, that was behind him and in front of him; his brother for war because his brother knew that he is alive and he will return for his inheritance.We need to be desperate because. We know that forward is the best option for our destiny, to be attained and backward can never be an option for us, because it is more dangerous.We might not make it and you will forced to leave your destination and enter a sinking sand;it’s not our portion….

Where Jacob was coming from, was a Problem; and where he was going, was a Problem as well,he left Laban for Esau,Jacob knew there was no turning back;looking unto Jesus who have gone before,what you need is in front;The lord made us to understand that there will trials and tribulation in life but we should be of good cheer…..because we will overcome the world….so any obstacle on your your way,then you need to pull it down and destroy it….Psalm 118:12….”all nations surrounded me like bees and glazed at me like crackling fire,but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.”…the journey of life is not easy and we need to cross over the Sea to reach our destiny that God has prepared for us;The Children of Israel crossed over the red Sea to reach the promised land;Elisa crossed over River Jordan to receive the double portion of Elijah’s anointing and he crossed back to fulfill his ministry.Jacob wrestled for his blessing and you cannot be an overcomer without a battle.
